Game Information
for the 2012-2013 Season – Please read carefully. :
Rules: As of August
24th, 2012
Sunday Day Games:
Pick ten (10) games straight up (no spread). List your picks starting with #10 and work
your way down to #1 pick. If #10 pick
wins you get 10 points, if #9 pick wins you get 9 points, etc. A total of 55 points is possible for the 10
through 1 Sunday day game picks.
All Other
Games (Monday night, Sunday night, Saturday, Thursday, Etc.):
Pick both the Game and Over/Under:
- Weeks
#1 through #5: Games are worth 5 points and Over/under is worth 2 points
- Weeks
#6 through #10: Games are worth 10 points and Over/Under is worth 3 points
- Weeks
#11 through #15: Games are worth 15 points and Over/Under is
worth 5 points
- Weeks
#16 through end of Season: Games are worth 20 points and Over/Under is worth 7 points
Miscellaneous:
Last Week of the Season Week 17: All #1 - #10 games are against the spread. Points are doubled this week (i.e. take
your #10 - #1 correct picks and multiply x 2). There is a $100 payout for the Best Score (highest point total)
and $50 for 2nd Best Score (2nd highest point total) on
the Best Score for the last week.
Thanksgiving Day Games: You must pick all three games and
all three of the Over / Under. Each Game pick is worth +15 & each o/u
pick is worth +5. There is also a $200 payout for highest point total and
$100 for 2nd highest point
total this day. Total combined score of all
Thanksgiving games will be the tiebreaker.
Weekly Payout:
Week #1 -
#4: $0 & Week #5 - #10: $25
& Week #11 -
#16: $50 &
Week #17 - $100
Cash will be paid each week to the highest weekly score (highest
score for the week, includes all games and picks for that week: Sunday games #10 - #1 picks, Sun. Night
games, Mon., Thurs., Sat. games, etc.). Note; If there is a tie and multiple
winners for weeks #5 - #10, the $ will go towards the Super Bowl Party fund.
Playoff’s:
You
must pick all
games and over/under.
The first round is worth 5 points for the game and 2 points for the
o/u. The second round is worth 10 points
game and 4 points o/u. Third round is 15
points for game and 6 points for the o/u.
The Super Bowl game is worth 20 points game and 8 for the o/u. Also, there is an extra $100 for the Super
Bowl best score and $50 for 2nd best score (total combined score
will be the tiebreaker).
Deadline for
Picks: Send in your picks to Yogi, Brett, or Bernie each week. All picks (including the Monday night game)
must be called in by Sunday’s first games opening kick-off (i.e. noon in
Houston). If you forget to call in your
picks by noon, you can call in the remainder of the afternoon games for your
1-10 picks, before kick-off (3PM in Houston).
If you lame out and forget to call in, you get the same number of points
as the worst score.
Standings /
Disputes: A running total of everyone’s score is kept each week. You can access the web page for the latest
standings. You have until the following
week by Sunday kick-off (i.e., noon Houston time) to dispute any of your
scores/point total. You must contact Yogi, Brett and/or Bernie
on any disputes.
“The Commish” (Yogi) will make the final call on any needed
decisions (with input from: Brett & Bernie).
