Game Information:

 

Rules:

Sunday Day Games:  Pick ten (10) games straight up (no spread).  List your picks starting with #10 working your way down to #1.  If your #10 pick wins, you get 10 points, if your #9 team wins you get 9 points, etc., with Zero (0) points for losses.  A total of 55 points is possible for the #10 through #1 Sunday day picks.

 

All Other Games (Sunday Night, Monday Night, Thursday & Saturday Games):   Must pick the game and the Over/Under against the spread (all picks are Mandatory).

  • Weeks #1 through #10:  Games are worth +/-10 (+10 win / -10 loss) and Over/Under are worth +/-5
  • Weeks #11 through End of Season:  Games are worth +/-15 and Over/Under are worth +/-10  

 

Miscellaneous:

Weekly Payout:  $20 cash and Movie Coupons will be paid each week for the Highest Total Weekly Score (the #10 through #1 picks, plus the Sunday and Monday night games & Over/Under picks).  If there is a tie and multiple winners, only the movie coupons will be paid to each winner (with the $20 going towards the party).

 

Last week of Season:  All #10 - #1 picks are against the spread.  There is also a Separate Payout this day of $100 for the best score and $50 for the 2nd best total point score for the #10 - #1 picks on this day only.

 

Thanksgiving Day Games:  You must pick both games and both Over/Under, with each pick worth +/-10 (a total of +/-40 points is possible).  Along with these points counting against your total score for the year, there is a Separate Payout this day of $100 for best score and $50 for 2nd highest point total.  Remember, when calling in this day, to give the total combined points scored by both teams for the day (i.e., 80, 90, etc…), which is used as the Tiebreaker for the $100 & $50 payouts (which often comes into play due to ties).

 

Playoff’s:  You must pick all of the Games and Over/Under each week throughout the Playoff’s.  The First Round (Wild Card); is worth +/-5 points for each pick.  The Second Round is worth: +/-10 points.  The Third Round (NFC/AFC Championships): is worth +/-15 and the Super Bowl is worth +/-20 for each pick (game and O/U).  A running total will be kept, with payouts for 1st through 4th place in the playoffs.  Also, there is a Separate Payout of $100 for best score and $50 for 2nd best score just for the Super Bowl game and O/U pick, with total combined score of the game used as the Tie-Breaker.

 

Sending/Calling in Your Picks:  Send via e-mail or phone to; Yogi, Brett or Bernie.  All picks (including the Monday night game) must be called in by Sunday’s first game (Noon Houston time).  If you forget to call in your picks by noon, you can still call in the 3pm games, starting at #10 and working your way down until you run out of games (getting zero points for #’s un-picked.  Example; if there were only 5 games remaining to be played at 3pm, you get zero points for picks #1 through #5, along with whatever points you won from the five remaining games you picked #10 through #6).  If you forget to call in on Sunday, you get one point less then the person with the lowest score for Sunday and can still call in the Monday night game.  If you lame out and forget to call in all together, you get one less point then the person with the worst weekly score.  If you forget to call in a Thursday or Saturday game, you get tied with the person who got the worst score for that game.

 

A running total of everyone’s score for the Regular Season is kept, with Payout’s for 1st through 5th Place at the End of the Regular Season and 1st though 4th Place for the Playoff Pool.

 

You have until the following week by Noon Houston time, to dispute any of your scores/point totals from the previous week.  You must contact; Yog, Brett or Bernie to dispute any scores posted.

 

“The Commish” (Yog) will make the final call on any needed decisions.

 

Entry Fee of $200 is due on October 31st (Halloween)!  You can still pay as late as Thanksgiving, but you will be assessed a $20 late fee, if your entry fee is received after October 31st (you must have your entry fee in by Thanksgiving at the latest, to be eligible for the Turkey-Day Payout and remain in the Pool, or “You’re Out”).
