Turkey Day Picks and I mean Turkey Picks: Picks by All :(

Game Information:

Rules:

Sunday Day Games:  Pick ten (10) games straight up (no spread).  List your picks starting with #10 and work your way down to #1 pick.  If #10 pick wins you get 10 points, if #9 pick wins you get 9 points, etc.  A total of 55 points is possible for the 10 through 1 Sunday day game picks. 

 

Sunday Money Payout: $20cash & $30 in Movie coupons paid to Best Score each week – New for 2004 last year was for all picks of the weekend , this year  the 10 games on Sunday plus the Sunday Night game againt the spread and the Over/Under pick will be included.  (note: if there is a tie and multiple winners, only the Movie Coupons will be paid, with the $20 going towards the Super Bowl Party.  You must have your entry fee in before you can collect any winnings).

 

All Other Games (Monday night,  Sunday night,  Saturday,  Thursday,   Etc…):

New Change for Monday for 2004 – Minus points for wrong pick on Monday Night games

Must Pick both the game and Over/Under (all are Mandatory picks)

       Games:

  • Weeks #1 through #5:  Games are worth +/-5 (i.e., +5 for a win and  -5 for a loss)
  • Weeks #6 through #10:  Games are worth +/-10 (i.e., +10 for a win and  -10 for a loss)
  • Weeks #11 through end of Season:  Games are worth +/-15 (i.e., +15 for a win and -15 for a loss)

Over/Under:

  • All Season:  Over/Under is worth +/-5 (i.e., +5 for a win and -5 for a loss)   - New for 2004 season

 

Miscellaneous:

Last Week of the Season:  All #1 - #10 games are against the spread.  There is also a $100 payout for the Best Score (highest point total) and $50 for 2nd Best Score (2nd highest point total) on your #1-#10 picks on this day.

 

Thanksgiving Day Games:  You must pick both games and both of the Over/Under’s for both games.  Each pick is worth +10 (win) or –10 (loss).  There is also a $100 payout for highest point total and $50 for 2nd highest point total this day.  Total combined score of both games will be the tiebreaker.

 

Weekly Payout:  $20 cash and $30 in Movie Coupons (2-tix, 2-drink, 2-popcorn) will be paid each week to the highest weekly score for the Sunday day games #10 - #1 picks plus the Sunday Night Game against the spread and the Over/Under pick will be included.  If there is a tie and multiple winners, all of the winners will receive the Movie coupons and the $ for that week will go in to the Super Bowl Party fund.

 

Playoff’s:  You must pick all games and over/under.  The first round (wild card) is worth +5 or –5 for each pick (game and o/u).  The second round is worth +10 or –10.  Third round is +15 or –15.  The Super Bowl game is worth +20 or – 20.  Also, there is an extra $100 for the Super Bowl game.  Total combined score will be the tiebreaker.  

 

Deadline for Picks: Send in your picks to Yogi, Brett, Bernie or Keith each week.  All picks (including the Monday night game) must be called in by Sunday’s first games opening kick off (i.e. noon in Houston).  If you forget to call in your picks by noon, you can call in the remainder of the afternoon games for your 1-10 picks, before kick off (3PM in Houston).  If you lame out on any picks and forget to call in, you get the same number of points as the worst score for that day and/or pick(s).

 

A running total of everyone’s score is kept each week.  You can access the web page for the latest standings   You have until the following week by Sunday kick-off  (i.e., noon Houston time) to dispute any of your scores/point total.  You must call either Yogi and/or Brett on any disputes.

 

“The Commish” (Yogi) will make the final call on any needed decisions (with input from the Executive committee:  Brett, Bernie, Keith).

All extra $ goes towards Yogi’s Super Bowl Bash

 

Total Entry Fee is $200 due by Thanksgiving.  There is a $5 late fee for every week you are late after Turkey day.

If you do not pay by Xmas, you are out for the year.  You must have your entry fee in before you can collect any winnings.
